SD&G #OPP Round Up for Friday June 2, 2017

CHARGES LAID RELATING TO THEFT

 

 

(North Dundas) – On May 21, 2017 at approximately 6:40pm, SD&G OPP officers conducted an investigation into a stolen dump trailer on County Road 13, North Dundas Township.

 

On June 1st 2017 SD&G OPP Officers arrested a male in connection with the theft following their investigation. Investigation also revealed that male was in contravention of conditions imposed from a previous incident

 

Joey CINNAMON (37) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Altering/destroying/removing a vehicle identification number (2 counts)

– Trafficking in Stolen Goods

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

– Use Plates not, Authorized for vehicle (Highway Traffic Act)

 

He was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

 

 

 

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

 

(South Dundas) – On June 1, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Dundas Township and intercepted the following vehicle for travelling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the drivers’ permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance with policy.

 

– June 1, 2017 – 7:40am (South Dundas): vehicle stopped travelling 154km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (33) from Brampton, Ontario was charged accordingly.

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

 

(South Dundas)- On June 1, 2017 at approximately 11:21 pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Dundas Street in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his ex-girlfriend had occurred. Investigation revealed that the male had been harassing the female and sexually assaulted the female during a previous incident.

 

An adult male (23) from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Sexual Assault ( 2 counts)

– Criminal Harassment

– Voyeurism

– Forcible Confinement

 

The Male was held in custody (Bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

 

 

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

 

 

(South Dundas)   On May 30, 2017 at approximately 11:09 am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Marcellus Road in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between two adult males had occurred the previous day (May 29th 2017). SD&G (OPP) were advised that there had been a possible stabbing at the residence the previous day.

 

Investigation revealed that the victim had intervened in an argument that led to him getting stabbed.

 

The 49 year old male victim from South Dundas attended a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

On June 1st 2017, an adult male (26) from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

• Possession of Weapon for dangerous Purpose

•Assault with a Weapon

 

The accused has been held for a bail hearing and appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
