Punk in S Dundas Charged by #OPP After Stealing from Family JUNE 14, 2017

BREACH OF CONDITIONS

(North Glengarry) – On June 12, 2017 at approximately 6:04pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a public property on Derby Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township following a report of a male in breach of a condition (not to be near a public park) imposed from a previous incident.

Robert LEROUX (64) of North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Fail to Comply with a Condition of an Undertaking

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

(South Dundas) – On June 12, 2017 at approximately 8:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft complaint from a residence on County Road 4, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a male youth in the residence had stolen jewellery and cash from family members. He was also in contravention of conditions imposed from previous incidents.

The 17-year-old male youth from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Theft Under $5000

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of an Undertaking (2 counts)

He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.

His name is being withheld in accordance to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

EXCESSIVE SPEED

(South Dundas) – On June 12, 2017 at approximately 1:09am, an SD&G OPP officer stopped a vehicle for travelling at excessive speeds (172km/h in an 80km/h zone) on County Road 2, South Dundas Township. The 22-year-old male driver from South Dundas Township was charged accordingly for Stunt Driving. His driver’s permit and vehicle were seized in accordance to provisions of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
