Cornwall Police Blotter for AUGUST 18, 2017

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Heather Cook, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on April 25th, 2017 for a theft under charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On August 17th, 2017 the woman was located by police, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Daryl Reid, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2017 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 12th, 2017 the man entered a Ninth Street store and removed a quantity of merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 17th, 2017 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 17th, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on August 15th, 2017 the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend and police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Jenna Cole, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on August 17th, 2017 and charged with threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during the month of August, 2017 the woman threatened another woman and the woman’s mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 18th, 2017 and charged with breach of probation for communicating with his ex-girlfriend and for being within 500 meters of her. It is alleged in the early morning hours of August 18th, 2017 the man breached his conditions and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2017. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
