SD&G #OPP Holiday Weekend Roundup for October 10, 2017

EXCESSIVE SPEEDS

 

 

(South Stormont) – On October 6, 2017, SD&G Ontario Provincial Police officers conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Stormont Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.

 

– October 6, 2017 – 11:01pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 157km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver from Toronto, Ontario was charged with Stunt Driving (Highway Traffic Act).

 

 

BREAK IN

 

(South Stormont) – On October 8, 2017 at approximately 8:21am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Farran Drive, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight October 7, 2017 culprit(s) entered the residence and removed jewellery and 3 firearms.

An investigation continues.

 

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS

 

 

(North Dundas) – On October 9, 2017 at approximately 1:19am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his girlfriend. The Investigation revealed that the male had caused damage to property at the residence.

 

A 37-year-old male from North Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Mischief

 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Cornwall court on October 31, 2017

His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

 

BREAK IN

 

(North Dundas) – On October 9, 2017 at approximately 10:21am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on York Street, North Dundas Township.

Investigation indicated that sometime overnight October 8, 2017 culprit(s) entered a garage and removed a Go-Kart and helments.

An investigation continues.
