BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Akwesasne man was arrested on October 20th, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance and probation for communicating with a certain person. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man was in the company of the person he has conditions not to associate with when he was stopped at the Port of Entry. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 20th, 2017 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with his ex-common-law and driving by her residence. It is alleged on October 20th, 2017 the man drove by his ex-common-law’s residence and motioned to his ex- common-law wife despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Eric Gravel, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on October 20th, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on September 28th, 2017 and October 12th, 2017 and warrants were issued for his arrest. On October 20th, 2017 the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – William King, 51 of Cornwall was arrested on October 21st, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an argument on August 10th, 2017 the man assaulted another man causing him to seek medical attention for his injuries. Police were contacted and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On October 21st, 2017 the man was stopped at the Port of Entry and police were contacted. The man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on November 23rd, 2017.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on October 21st, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for not residing at a specific address, failing to notify a change of address, communicating with her ex-common-law and for attending his residence. It is alleged during an unrelated investigation on October 21st, 2017 the woman was found to be in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Michael Maheu, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on October 21st, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 21st, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street East. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 2nd, 2017.

Cornwall, ON – Eric Beauregard, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on October 20th, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on October 20th, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Sixth Street and Sydney Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 2nd, 2017.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Donovan Cameron, 18 of Cornwall was arrested on October 22nd, 2017 and charged with assault. It is alleged on October 17th, 2017 the man pushed someone known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On October 22nd, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
