#OPP Senior Collides W Senior & Punks Set Fire in Front of Library in Cardinal 102517

(Prescott, On) On October the 24th 2017, at approximately 11:50 am, the Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Edward Street and King Street, in the town of Prescott. At this location, a motor vehicle turned right at Edward Street, to travel west on King Street. The vehicle struck a 69 year old male pedestrian from Prescott. The pedestrian suffered from minor injuries and was released at the scene.

The 69 year old male driver, from Prescott, was charged, under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, with fail to yield to a pedestrian.

On October the 24th 2017, at approximately 6:30 pm., the OPP were notified that approximately 5 youths were setting a small fire in front of the Edwardsburgh Cardinal Public Library’s  entrance. The Library is located on County Road 2, in the village of Cardinal.

Police attended the location and located the involved youth. No damage was done to the library or the surrounding property. The youths were returned home to their parents and warned.
