Cornwall Ontario Police Blotter for Thursday November 2, 2017 #CCPS

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Prasath kanasamoorthy, 27 of Ottawa was arrested on November 1st, 2017 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 1st, 2017 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 1st, 2017 and charged with break and enter and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 1st, 2017 the man forced his way into his girlfriend’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT, BREACH, DRIVE DISQUALIFIED

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 1st, 2017 and charged with assault, drive disqualified and breach of probation for having consumed alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on October 31st, 2017 after having consumed alcohol the man assaulted his common-law wife and left the scene in a vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 1st, 2017 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Kimber Lee Long, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on November 2nd, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for being outside her residence after curfew. It is alleged the woman was found to be in breach of her conditions during a traffic stop in the early morning hours of November 2nd, 2017. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

There were 57 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
