Ottawa man charged with Child Sexual Offences
(Ottawa)— Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged an Ottawa man following an investigation into historical allegations of child sexual assaults.
The investigation began June 20th, 2016 when a victim came forward to report the abuse.
On December 13th , 2017 the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section charged Donald GREENHAM, 75 years old, of Ottawa with 11 criminal offences including Gross Indecency, Indecent Assault on a Male and Counselling an Offence (per Criminal Code charges existing at the time of the offences).
The incidents occurred in Ottawa between 1972 and 1981.
These charges relate to multiple incidents involving four victims (4 males) ranging in age from 12-16 years old and occurred while Mr. Greenham was in the course of his duties as a teacher and coach with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. The victims came forward based on an August 2016 news release issued by the Ottawa Police Service.
The Ottawa Police SACA investigators continue its investigation and there is concern there could be more victims.
