SD&G #OPP Round Up for January 8, 2017

SD&G OPP NEWS

(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating several incidents after responding to 912 calls for service from Friday December 22, 2017 to Monday January 8, 2018.

Among these occurrences, OPP responded to 18 domestic disputes, 4 mischief offences, 9 assaults, 8 frauds,2 threats calls, 17 thefts, 203 motor vehicle collisions, 6 impaired driving related occurrences, 1 drug offence related occurrences, 9 mental health act calls, 2 bail Violation calls, 2 break and enter calls, 12 family disputes, 5 neighbour disputes, 8 fraud related occurrences, 8 harassment calls, 1 indecent act, 5 landlord tenant act occurrences, 29 911 calls, 109 calls for police assistance , 7 sudden death investigations, 7 suspicious activity calls, 130 traffic complaints and hazards and 81 RIDE checks were conducted.



ASSAULT

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On December 22, 2017 at approximately 2:19pm, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Main Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred resulting in adult male striking a family member on multiple occasions. The accused male had also caused damage to the victim’s property and threatened the victim as well.

Brandon Edwards (25) from North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault ( 2 counts)

– Mischief

– Uttering threats (3 counts)

– Fail to comply with conditions of Undertaking

 

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court on December 23, 2017.

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On December 23, 2017 at approximately 12:46am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Cornwall Centre Road, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Brandon LAPIERRE (26) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Care or control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 16, 2018.

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On December 23, 2017 at approximately 2:06am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on Cornwall Centre Road, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Celine SECORD (21) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 16, 2018.

 

ASSAULT

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On December 23, 2017 at approximately 8:00pm, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence on Main Street, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation occurred resulting in adult female striking a family member on multiple occasions. The accused female had also caused damage to the victim’s property.

 

Chelsey NORTH (25) from North Grenville, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Assault ( 2 counts)

– Mischief ( 2 counts)

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on February 6, 2018.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On December 27, 2017 at approximately 5:37pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his wife. The Investigation revealed that the male had damaged property at the home.

A 34-year-old male from South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 9, 2018. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On December 28, 2017 at approximately 11:24pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his wife. The Investigation revealed that the male and female assaulted each other with weapons. The male struck the female with a book and the female struck the male with a lamp

A 74-year-old male from South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault with a weapon

A 46- year -old from South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Assault with a weapon

Both were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on February 6, 2018. Both names are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victims.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On December 31, 2017 at approximately 7:56pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a traffic complaint on Cornwall Highway 401, South Stormont Township. Officers located the vehicle as it had left the roadway and struck a tree. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol. While in custody the male also exposed himself to officers.

Mark CLUTE (47) of Vaughan, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle

– Driving while disqualified

– Indecent Act

– Possession of Property obtained by crime

– Fail to comply with conditions of probation order ( 3 counts)

– Fail to comply with conditions of Recognizance

The male was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On December 31, 2017 at approximately 11:59pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on County Road 2, South Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Adrien VILLENEUVE (81) of Oxford Station, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on January 9, 2018.

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On January 2, 2018 at approximately 11:05pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his wife. The Investigation revealed that the male had damaged property at the home and assaulted her multiple times.

A 43-year-old male from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Mischief

– Assault (4 counts)

– Forcible confinement

– Overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 23, 2018. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On January 4, 2018 at approximately 10:41pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Windfall Road, South Stormont Township.

The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Larry MOAK (49) of South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 30, 2018.

 

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On January 5, 2018 at approximately 6:22pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a female and her boyfriend. The Investigation revealed that the female had assaulted the male.

A 24-year-old male from South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

She was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 23, 2018. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim

IMPAIRED DRIVER

(NORTH DUNDAS,ON) – On January7, 2017 at approximately 12:15am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on County Road 3, North Dundas Township.

The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Jesse HOLMES (27) of North Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 18, 2018.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION

(SOUTH STORMONT,ON) – On January 7, 2018 at approximately 12:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence in South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation had taken place between a male and his girlfriend. The Investigation revealed that the male had damaged property at the home and assaulted her multiple times. The male also threatened the female.

 

A 32-year-old male from South Stormont, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Mischief (2 counts)

– Assault (6 counts)

– Uttering threats

– Fail to Comply with conditions of Recognizance ( 2 counts)

– Theft under $5000

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 8, 2018. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
