Cornwall Ontario – It’s hovering around zero in the River City Thursday morning, but we do have a snow squall and pizza watch in the region. Beware of yummy pies, especially a nice Bacon and Pineapple with extra cheese from Romas here in Cornwall!
The Pies may cause winds gusting up to meters in distance with mixed precipitation in extreme conditions.
Expect overnight lows that feel like -20c. Friday will also be cold with a high of only -12c before snow hits us on the weekend.

Snow squall watch in effect for:
- Cornwall – Lancaster
- Maxville – Alexandria
- Morrisburg – Long Sault
- Winchester – Newington
Conditions are favourable for a brief but intense snow squall as a cold front passes through Eastern Ontario late this afternoon or early evening.
Within the snow squall, visibility may be suddenly reduced in a burst of heavy snow and blowing snow. However, accumulations are expected to be limited to a few centimetres at most as the snow squall will pass through quickly.
Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather.
Snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
