WARRANTS, THEFT UNDER, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Alvin Cann, 41 of Cornwall was arrested on February 1st, 2018 on the strength of several warrants. He was also charged with theft under $5000 and breach of three probation orders for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 1st, 2018 the man took a sum of money from a woman without her permission and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was located at a local hotel, taken into custody and charged accordingly. Several outstanding warrants were also executed and Cann was subsequently held for a bail hearing.



THEFT UNDER, POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Dustin Bedding, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on February 1st, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000, possession of speed and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on February 1st, 2018 the man entered a Ninth Street store and removed merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by the Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. He was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of speed. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 20th, 2018.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Gerald McDonagh, 67 of Huntingdon, QC was arrested on February 1st, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged in October and November, 2017 the man was responsible for two gas drive offs and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On February 1st, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on March 15th, 2018.
