Change Machine Bandit Charged in Cornwall Ontario 041718 #ccps

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Iroquois man was arrested on April 16th, 2018 and charged with threats. It is alleged on April 11th, 2018 the man threatened to harm his ex-girlfriend and an investigation ensued. On April 16th, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on unrelated charges. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DISGUISE WITH INTENT, BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF AN INSTRUMENT FOR BREAKING INTO COIN OPERATED DEVICES, BREACH OF PROBATION, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division into an incident that occurred in March, 2018, Kyle Delorme, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on April 16th, 2018 and charged with the following:

• Disguise with intent
• Break and enter
• Possession of an instrument for breaking into coin operated devices
• Breach of probation
• Mischief under $5000
• Theft under $5000

Throughout the month of March, 2018, it is alleged the man attended numerous businesses in the city of Cornwall and used a bar to gain entry to multiple change machines. The man removed a quantity of money and caused damage to the machines. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 16th, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the man was in custody on unrelated charges. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody for a bail hearing.


ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 47-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 16th, 2018 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on April 16th, 2018 the man assaulted his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Lalonde, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on April 16th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her conditional sentence order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on April 7th, 2018, the woman entered the residence of a man known to her without permission and police were contacted to investigate. During a traffic stop on April 17th, 2018, police located the woman. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

There were 48 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8am the previous day to 8am the day of the release).
