THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Darin Cooper, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 2nd, 2018 the man attended a Ninth Street business and selected items, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. On April 19th, 2018 police located the man and he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 17th, 2018.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Chance Lafave-Benedict, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for being out past curfew. It is alleged the man breached his curfew on April 19th, 2018 and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on April 14th, 2018 the youth failed to notify police of a change of address and an investigation ensued. On April 19th, 2018 the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT UNDER, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Williamstown youth was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of recognizance for possessing alcohol. It is alleged on April 8th, 2018 the youth attended a Brookdale Avenue business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On April 19th, 2018, police located the youth and she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on April 18th, 2018 the man assaulted his common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. On April 19th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 22nd, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.
FAIL TO ATTEND FOR PRINTS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Ashley Belanger-Boudrias, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on April 19th, 2018 and charged with fail to attend for prints and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman failed to attend for prints on April 9th, 2018 and an investigation ensued. On April 19th, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 3rd, 2018.
