Cornwall Chick Charged After Beating Boyfriend With Chair #CCPS 050218

Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 1st, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to reside at a certain address, and failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on April 28th, 2018, police found the youth to no longer reside at a certain address and an investigation ensued. On May 1st, 2018, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.



ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 1st, 2018 and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on May 1st, 2018 the woman struck her boyfriend with a chair and police were contacted. During the investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

There were 54 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in the last 24 hours (8 am the previous day to 8 am the day of the release).
