BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 6th, 2018. He was charged with breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 500 metres of his girlfriend. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 5th, 2018 the man was found to be in breach of his conditions when his girlfriend was observed in his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 6th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – Devon Brugmans, 19, and Kane Hanna, 22, both of Finch were arrested on June 7th, 2018 and charged as follows:

It is alleged that in the early morning hours of June 7th, 2018 during a traffic stop, both men exited the motor vehicle and fled from police. Prior to fleeing, a struggle ensued between Kane Hanna and police, resulting in an officer being shoved to the ground. During the investigation police located both men. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2018.
