MISCHIEF, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACHES
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 11th, 2018 and charged with the following:
- Mischief under $5000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Breach of probation (for having contact with his ex-common-law wife, being within 25 metres of her, and possessing a weapon )
- Breach of recognizance (for having contact with his ex-common-law wife, being within 100 metres of her, attending her address, possessing a weapon, and possessing drugs)
It is alleged on June 11th, 2018 the man attended his ex-common-law wife’s residence, despite his conditions, and damaged a dresser and the front porch of the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation police located the man. He was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of multiple knives and pills. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Natalie Brunet, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on June 11th, 2018 and charged with the following:
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking heroin
- Possession of property obtained by crime
On June 5th, 2018 the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit (SCU) executed a drug warrant at an Augustus Street residence where it is alleged the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, cocaine, and heroine. On June 11th, 2018 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 17th, 2018.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Julie Ladue, 26, of Hogansburg, NY was arrested on June 11th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to stop at the port of entry and drove a vehicle in a dangerous manner, damaging a gate. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On June 11th, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Courthouse as the woman was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and the woman remained in custody pending a bail hearing.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – Christina Halikas, 65, of Cornwall was arrested on June 11th, 2018 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on more than one occasion in 2018 the woman was responsible for unwanted interactions with a woman not known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On June 11th, 2018 she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2018.
THEFT UNDER
Cornwall, ON – David St. Denis, 32, and Brika Henophy, 34, both of Cornwall were arrested on June 11th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on May 14th, 2018 the man and woman entered a Brookdale Avenue store and removed a bottle of liquor making no attempt to pay for the item as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 11th, 2018 both were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2018.
