THEFT OVER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Lori Roberts, 48, of Cornwall was arrested on June 14th, 2018 and charged with theft over $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged on June 13th, 2018 the woman removed furniture from a residence belonging to a man known to her without his permission and police were contacted to investigate. On June 14th, 2018 police located the woman in possession of the stolen furniture. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2018.
ASSAULT, OVERCOME RESISTANCE
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 14th, 2018 and charged with assault, and overcome resistance (choking). It is alleged on May 11th, 2018 the man assaulted and choked his ex-girlfriend during an argument. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 14th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
FRAUD UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Dustin Beddingfield, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 14th, 2018 and charged with fraud under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime, as well as breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 6th, 2018 the man used a debit card that did not belong to him and police were contacted to investigate. On June 14th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Brandon Bradley, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on June 14th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000 as well as breach of recognizance for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on between June 11-14, 2018, the man attended numerous convenience stores and removed a quantity of cigarettes, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the stores. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 14th, 2018 the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall was arrested on June 15th, 2018 and charged with threats and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on June 15th, 2018 the man threatened to harm his father and damaged several picture frames belonging to his mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 17th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – Michael Witherden, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on June 14th, 2018 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged during an argument on June 13th, 2018 the man assaulted a man known to him and made threats to harm him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 14th, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 17th, 2018.
