BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 28th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting and being within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend and attending her residence. It is alleged on June 28th, 2018 the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 28th, 2018 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged on June 28th, 2018 the youth made threats to his mother to burn her house down. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Mark Tyo, 33, and Maria Zwicker, 31, of Cornwall were arrested on June 28th, 2018 and charged with theft under $5000. Mark Tyo was also charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 26th and 27th, 2018 the man and woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 28th, 2018, they were taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was released to appear in court on July 31st, 2018 and the woman was released to appear in court on August 2nd, 2018.
ASSAULT CAUSE BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 28th, 2018 and charged with assault cause bodily harm. It is alleged during an argument on June 28th, 2018, the man assaulted his girlfriend, causing her to seek medical attention for her injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
CAUSE DISTURBANCE, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 29th, 2018 and charged with cause disturbance and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on June 29th, 2018 police attended a Third Street address for a dispute and found the man to be causing a disturbance by yelling and screaming. It is further alleged the man had caused damage to furniture and a door during a dispute with his boyfriend. He was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
