SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 25th, 2018 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged on July 16th, 2018 the man inappropriately touched his son’s girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. On July 25th, 2018 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 14th, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT, POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Jeffery Hutt, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on July 25th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with possession of hydromorphone and breach of recognizance for failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged the man, who was known to be wanted for failing to attend court and a break and enter, was located during a traffic stop on July 25th, 2018. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and found to be in possession of a quantity of hydromorphone. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
