(STORMONT DUNDAS & GLENGARRY, ON) – The SD&G Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating several incidents after responding to 225 calls for service from Friday August 17, 2018 to Tuesday August 21, 2018.

 

Among these occurrences, SD&G OPP responded to:

–             13 Motor Vehicle collision

–             39 calls for Police assistance

–             3- 911 calls

–             38 traffic complaints

–             7 Traffic enforcement occurrence’s

–             6 RIDE Programs

–             3 Domestic disputes

–             2 Assault calls

–             3 Mischief calls

–             2 missing person calls

–             10 theft calls

–             2 alarm calls

–             1 Break and enter call

–             2 Impaired driving occurrences

–             1 sexual assault occurrence

–             4 Liquor licence Act calls

–             2 uttering threats calls

–            6 mental health act calls

–             2 drug offences calls

–             4 community service calls

 

 

WEAPON CHARGES

 

(SOUTH DUNDAS,ON) – On August 18, 2018 at approximately 4:02 pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a young male with a weapon walking on Ottawa Street in South Dundas Township.

 

Investigation indicated that a young male was at the location with a weapon in his possession. SD&G OPP officers attended and arrested the youth without incident.

 

A 13-year-old male of South Dundas, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;

 

–             Possession of imitation weapon for dangerous purpose (Criminal Code of Canada – Section 88)

 

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on September 20, 2018.

The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).

 

 

 

DANGEROUS DRIVING/CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

 

(NORTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On August 18, 2018 at approximately 6:19pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a domestic disturbance North Glengarry Township.

Investigation indicated that an adult female had attempted to strike her ex-common law partner with her vehicle. Further information also revealed that the female had assaulted the male and has been continually harassing the victim as well

 

A 52 Year-old female of Cornwall was arrested and is charged with;

 

–             Assault

–             Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

–             Criminal Harassment

 

 

She was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall, Ontario.

 





IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On August 18, 2018 at approximately 11:47pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 2 in South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.

 

Casey RENAUD (26) of South Stormont was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Drive a Motor Vehicle while Impaired

– Drive a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

 

He was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court September 4, 2018.

 

IMPAIRED DRIVER

 

(SOUTH GLENGARRY,ON) – On August 19, 2018 at approximately 12:27pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a traffic stop on County Road 34 in South Glengarry Township. The investigation revealed that the adult female driver was under the influence of alcohol.

 

Amber ROACH (20) of South Glengarry was arrested and is charged with;

 

– Care or control of a Vehicle while Impaired

– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood

– Having care or control of a motor vehicle with liquor readily available (Liquor Licence Act)

 

She was released and is scheduled to appear in Cornwall Court September 13, 2018.
