POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Nancy Hutt, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2018 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 11th, 2018 the woman was in possession of a quantity of tools that did not belong to her and police were contacted to investigate. On August 27th, 2018 she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 4th, 2018.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Ashton Markell, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 27th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on August 16th, 2018 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 27th, 2018 he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Chesterville man was arrested on August 27th, 2018 and charged with threats, mischief under $5000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 22nd, 2018, the man threatened to harm his ex-girlfriend and damage a vehicle belonging to a man known to him. It is further alleged on August 27th, 2018, the man damaged the above-mentioned vehicle using a metal pipe and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 41, and Meagan Malone, 32, both of Long Sault, were arrested on August 28th, 2018 and charged with break and enter and possession of a controlled substance x 2. Larry Labelle was also charged with breach of recognizance for being in possession of drugs. It is alleged in the early morning hours on August 28th, 2018, the man and woman committed a break and enter at a Vincent Massey Drive business and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man and woman were taken into custody, at which time police located a quantity of marijuana, as well as pills that were believed to be a controlled substance. The man and woman were charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing and the woman was released to appear in court on September 27th, 2018.
