David Rosenstein Bail Hearing in Cornwall #CCPS Police Blotter for Sept 19, 2018

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 18th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for contacting his girlfriend. It is alleged on September 11th, 2018, the man contacted his girlfriend despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 18th, 2018 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 18th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his recognizance by contacting and being within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 18th, 2018 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from OPP as they had the man in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on October 2nd, 2018. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Montreal man was arrested on September 18th, 2018 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between August 15 and September 14, 2018 the man contacted his girlfriend, despite his conditions, assaulted her on multiple occasions and threw a phone at her. The man also allegedly made threats to kill his girlfriend, assaulted her child, and forced them from their residence. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On September 18th, 2018, a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service assumed custody of the man from Montreal, as the man was held in custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and the man was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.




BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 32, of Bonville was arrested on September 18th, 2018 and charged with breach of undertaking for being within the city of Cornwall and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged police located the man in breach of his conditions on September 18th, 2018. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Sunny Ashby, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on September 19th, 2018 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to abide by a curfew, consuming alcohol, and failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 19th, 2018 police located the man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
