Cotton Mill Pharmacy Pharmacist ANDREW HANNA Under Investigation 102018

Cornwall Ontario – Cornwall pharmacist Andrew Hanna did not respond to CFN after a viewer submitted two pages of issues with the College of Pharmacists.  We were told he was hiding unavailable until at least Monday.

The charges are quite serious.  Nabilone is a form of Cannabis, while Ziprasidone is a drug used for schizophrenia.

Summary of Allegations

As a result of a referral by the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee, it is alleged that Mr. Hanna, while engaged in the practice of pharmacy as owner, Designated Manager, or dispensing pharmacist at the Cotton Mill Pharmacy in Cornwall, committed professional misconduct in that he

  • Charged an excessive fee to patient [Name] in relation to her prescription for Nabilone 0.5mg/ml

In particular, it is alleged that he

  • Failed to maintain a standard of practice of the profession
  • Charged a fee or amount that was excessive in relation to the service or product provided
  • Engaged in conduct or performed an act relevant to the practice of pharmacy that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members of the profession as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional

  • Engaged in conduct or performed an act relevant to the practice of pharmacy that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members of the profession as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional

  1. Looks like he’s finally caught for something illegal. It’s about time.

  2. This may be the end of his profession and may face jail time as well. Not too intelligent that is for sure.

  3. People don’t realize that mistakes can cost a person their life. When my husband was sick last year and had a mighty serious form of pneumonia that almost killed him the doctor who was not supposed to practice without supervision went and prescribed meds that almost killed my husband and he was a middle aged man in a walk in clinic.
