POLICE PURSUIT IN THE AREA OF PITT & TWELFTH STREET
Kerby Franklin, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on November 11th, 2018 and charged with the following:
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Flight from police
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Breach of probation (fail to keep the peace)
• Possession of cocaine
• Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
On November 11th, 2018, members of the CCPS attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle being operated by a man who was wanted by another police agency. The man fled from police, operating the vehicle in a dangerous manner in the area Pitt Street and Twelfth Street. A pursuit ensued, with the motor vehicle coming to a stop in the area of Twelfth Street and Ontario Street. The man was taken into custody on the strength of the outstanding warrant and during the course of the investigation found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine and money. The man was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 18th, 2018.
