- Cornwall – Lancaster
- Maxville – Alexandria
- Winchester – Newington
Freezing rain to begin late this afternoon.
Freezing rain is expected to move into Eastern Ontario late this afternoon into early evening. The freezing rain will begin to change to rain late in the evening as temperatures rise above the freezing mark. However, areas in the Ottawa Valley may remain below the freezing mark most of the night with freezing rain persisting into early Sunday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
