3:18 PM EST Monday 31 December 2018
Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Freezing rain is expected tonight.

Snow or freezing rain will begin this evening and change to freezing rain later this evening or overnight. An extended period of freezing rain is likely overnight before the precipitation tapers off early Tuesday.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
