Crashing Car into Snowbank Leads to Coke Charge in Cornwall #CCPS 012419

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jordyn Chandonnet, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on January 23rd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on September 5th, 2018 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 23rd, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED BY DRUG, FAIL TO STOP AT SCENE OF ACCIDENT, DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, POSSESSION OF COCAINE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Maria Zwicker, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on January 23rd, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
• Fail to stop at the scene of an accident
• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Possession of cocaine
• Breach of undertaking (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on January 23rd, 2019, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. She allegedly struck a motor vehicle in the area of Sydney Street and Eleventh Street, and fled the area. The woman was located in the area of Fifteenth Street West and Pitt Street, where her motor vehicle had collided with a snow bank. She was taken into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on February 14th, 2019.

  1. I guess that the snow bank didn’t see him nor the parked cars didn’t jump out of the way. Yesterday my son got stuck and some of his friends shoveled him out and another man that he knows burned his transmission rocking back and forth trying to get out. Ottawas streets and sidewalks are in bad shape.
