County Road 17 East CLOSED near Hawkesbury due to collision.

Wild winds and snow are whipping up a mess on regional highways with multiple collisions reported.

The OPP have just re opened the 417 near Limoges

Blowing snow advisory in effect for:

  • Cornwall – Lancaster
  • Maxville – Alexandria
  • Morrisburg – Long Sault
  • Winchester – Newington

Reduced visibilities in local blowing snow today.

Flurries and strong westerly winds with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h are expected today. Any fresh snow will be whipped up by the winds creating areas of reduced visibilities, particularly in exposed areas. Snowfall accumulations are expected to be light.

Conditions will slowly improve through the day as winds begin to diminish.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
