Scumbag Charged After Knife Assaulting Mom in Cornwall Ontario #CCPS #CPS 050619

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with possession of psilocybin (mushrooms). It is alleged the youth was in possession of a quantity of psilocybin while at school on May 3rd, 2019 and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth of Orleans was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance x 2 for failing to phone in to police. It is alleged the youth failed to sign in to police via phone on two occasions in April, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. On May 3rd, 2019, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – James Stevenson, 51, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to notify police of a change of address. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on May 1st, 2019, police learned the man had changed his address without notifying police. On May 3rd, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Albert Roberge, 51, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street East and Glengarry Boulevard and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 14th, 2019.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH OF CONDITIONAL SENTENCE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, as well as breach of conditional sentence order. It is alleged during an argument with her boyfriend, the woman assaulted him, and attempted to assault him using a hammer. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Ian Craig, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on April 29th, 2019 for breach offences and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 3rd, 2019, police located the man. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – Justin Roderick, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Aggravated assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Threats
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

It is alleged during an altercation with a man known to him on May 3rd, 2019, the man assaulted him using a piece of wood all the while making threats to kill him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The man was taken into custody, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON X 2, THREATS X 8, UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 4th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Assault
• Assault with a weapon x 2
• Threats x 8
• Unlawfully in a dwelling
• Mischief under $5000
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Breach of recognizance for failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify a change of address to police
• Breach of probation for failing to keep the peace

It is alleged on May 4th, 2019, the man entered his mother’s residence without permission where he assaulted her using a knife and damaged a piece of jewellery belonging to her. The man further made threats kill his mother, his ex-girlfriend’s, as well as his children, and threatened to damage his mother’s vehicle. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

THREATS x 2, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Ashley Belanger-Boudrias, 20, of Cornwall was arrested on May 4th, 2019 and charged with threats x 2 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman made threats to harm two individuals known to her and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 5th, 2019 and charged with theft of a motor vehicle, as well as mischief under $5000. It is alleged on May 3rd, 2019, the man took his father’s motor vehicle without permission and eventually returned the vehicle with damages before fleeing the area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 5th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, was charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF X 2

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Chesterville man was arrested on May 5th, 2019 and charged with mischief under $5000 x 2. It is alleged during an argument with his ex-wife, the man caused damage to her motor vehicle, as well as burned several articles of clothing belonging to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on May 28th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
