THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Marc Racine, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on May 17th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation and undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 15th, 2019, the man attended a Sydney Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 17th, 2019, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody pending a bail hearing.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 56-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 17th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Sexual assault x 9
• Sexual assault with a weapon
• Forcible confinement x 7
• Assault x 11
• Assault with a weapon x 4
• Threats x 2
• Break and enter

It is alleged the man sexually assaulted his ex-wife on multiple occasions and prevented her from leaving the residence. It is further alleged the man assaulted her using a knife and a hammer, as well as made threats to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 17th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on May 17th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault and mischief under $5000. It is alleged during an argument with her ex-common-law husband, the woman assaulted him and damaged a television in the residence. Police were contacted and took the woman into custody. She was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 11th, 2019. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 17th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged the man struck his ex-common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 11th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – Gerald Thompson, 35, of Hogansburg, NY was arrested on May 18th, 2019 and charged with over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol when he was stopped at the Port of Entry. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on May 30th, 2019.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brill Trudeau, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for consuming alcohol, as well as possession of cocaine. It is alleged the intoxicated man attended the Port of Entry in a taxi, at which time police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2019.

THEFT UNDER $5000 X 9

Cornwall, ON – Claire Lafaille, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2019 and charged with nine counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged from April to May, the woman attended nine local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the stores. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 18th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 4th, 2019.

ASSAULT, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Keisha Maneilly, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2019 and charged with assault and uttering threats. It is alleged on May 17th, 2019, while shopping at a Ninth Street business, the woman had an altercation with two women known to her, where she assaulted one, and made threats to harm the other. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 18th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 4th, 2019.

UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, FRAUD UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 20th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Unlawful use of credit card x 2
• Possession of property obtained by crime x 2
• Fraud under $5000 x 2
• Breach of probation x 2 for failing to keep the peace

It is alleged on April 16th and 17th, 2019, the man used his ex-girlfriend’s bank card without permission to deposit stolen cheques into her account, and subsequently withdrew money that did not belong to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 20th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Alexis McDougall, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on May 20th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 7th, 2019, the woman attended a Cornwall Square business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the item as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 20th, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18th, 2019.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – David Sanders, 51, of Cornwall was arrested on May 20th, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged the man assaulted a woman known to him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18th, 2019.

BREAK AND ENTER, POSSESSION OF BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS, MISCHIEF OVER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, RESIST ARREST, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 20th, 2019 and charged with the following:

• Break and enter
• Possession of break-in instruments
• Mischief over $5000
• Possession of property obtained by crime
• Resist arrest
• Theft under $5000
• Breach of youth probation for failing to keep the peace

It is alleged on May 17th, 2019, the man took a motorcycle that did not belong to him without permission and police were contacted. It is further alleged on May 20th, 2019, while in possession of break-in tools, the man forced his way into a Vincent Massey Drive business, removed a quantity of electronics, and damaged various items. Police were contacted and located the man shortly thereafter, who was in possession of several stolen electronics. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from when the man was a youth and is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 20th, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend using a skateboard and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on June 18th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
