THREATS, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON X 2, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – Farid Mohamoud, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on June 13th, 2019 and charged with threats, assault with a weapon x 2, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged the man made threats to kill a man he did not know, while brandishing a knife to him and another man. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Ragat Bharti, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on June 13th, 2019 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged the man sexually assaulted a woman known to him on June 4th, 2019 and police were contacted to investigate. On June 13th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2019.
