DOMESTIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on July 6th, 2019 and charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged during an argument with his ex-wife, the man damaged a cell phone belonging to her and police were contacted. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 30th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – Sasha Colon, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on July 7th, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court in August 2018, as well as breached her probation, and warrants were issued for her arrest. It is further alleged the woman published an intimate image of someone known to her without their permission and an additional warrant was issued. On July 7th, 2019, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT UNDER $5000, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON – Tyreid Arial, 18, of Cornwall was arrested on July 7th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged during the early morning hours on July 7th, 2019, the man had entered a motor vehicle that did not belong to him in the area of First Street and Seymour Street and police were contacted. During the investigation, the man was located in possession of a stolen wallet. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 18th, 2019.
THEFT UNDER $5000, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on July 7th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000, mischief under $5000, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 7th, 2019, the man damaged a sign at a Fourteenth Street business, and removed pieces of the sign without permission. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 30th, 2019.
THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Shawn Collins, 21, of Oshawa was arrested on July 7th, 2019 and charged with two counts of threats and two counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of recognizance for failing to reside at a certain address and failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged the man entered into an argument with a man and woman known to him, when he made threats to kill both individuals. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Yanik Charbonneau, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on July 7th, 2019 and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged during an altercation with a man and woman known to him, Yanik Charbonneau assaulted both individuals and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2019.
