MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION – ROADWAY CLOSED
(NORTH STORMONT,ON) – Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently at the scene of a single vehicle collision on County Road 43 between County Road 20 and Pigeon Hill Road in North Stormont Township.
Preliminary investigation has indicated that at approximately 4:37am, a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Road 43 when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and entered the ditch causing it to roll over.

The adult male driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with serious life threatening injuries.
The adult female passenger of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.
Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
As the investigation continues, Detours are in place on County Road 43 at County Road 20 and Pigeon Hill Road in North Stormont Township.
