Cornwall Weekend Police Blotter for September 30, 2019 #CPS

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on September 28th, 2019 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting her ex-boyfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the woman emailed her ex-boyfriend on September 26th, despite her conditions, and an investigation ensued. On September 28th, 2019 she was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jerry Martin, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on September 28th, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 26th, 2019, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 28th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 31st, 2019.

THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old man of Stratford, ON was arrested on September 28th, 2019 and charged with uttering threats and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man threatened to kill his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Larose, 24, of Nepean, ON was arrested on September 29th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Belmont Street and Walton Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on October 8th, 2019.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested on September 29th, 2019 and charged with two counts of assault, criminal harassment, unlawfully in a dwelling and theft under $5000. It is alleged the man assaulted his girlfriend on two occasions and followed her to a residence that did not belong to either of them, where the man entered without the owner’s permission. It is also alleged during the month of September, the man took his girlfriend’s e-bike without her permission. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On September 29th, 2019, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
