ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Glen Leduc, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on November 22nd, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, as well as two counts of breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument with a man known to him on November 22nd, 2019, Glen Leduc assaulted the man using a knife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

PUBLIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 23rd, 2019 and charged with public mischief. It is alleged earlier in November, the woman had reported that her boyfriend assaulted her. An investigation ensued and the incident was later determined to be unfounded. On November 23rd, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Dawn Niblock, 55, and Nathan Niblock, 28, both of Cornwall, were arrested on November 23rd, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on November 23rd, the individuals attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as they left the store. They were stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, they were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Fowler Thompson, 34, of Lunenburg was arrested on November 23rd, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 7th, the man had attended a Vincent Massey Drive business and removed a donation box that did not belong to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 23rd, police located the man and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 24th, 2019.

THEFT UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Kyla Mercer, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on November 23rd, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on November 15th, the woman took a dog from someone known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On November 23rd, 2019, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 24th, 2019 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged the man made threats to harm his ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MISCHIEF UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 24th, 2019 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on November 23rd, the man damaged a door in his mother’s residence and police were contacted to investigate. On November 24th, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 24th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 24th, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for attending his girlfriend’s residence. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 24th, the man attended his girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Alain Godard-Hall, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on November 24th, 2019 and charged with four counts of operation while prohibited. It is alleged the man was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so during the night of November 24th. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 24th, 2019.

THREATS, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST, ASSAULT POLICE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man of Hawkesbury, ON was arrested on November 25th, 2019 and charged with uttering threats, assault with intent to resist arrest, assault police, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument with his girlfriend during the early morning hours on November 25th, the man made threats to damage property in the residence and police were contacted. During the investigation, the man assaulted a police officer and resisted being arrested. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
