ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 2nd, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged on December 1st, the youth assaulted his brother and police were contacted to investigate. On December 2nd, 2019, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Roxanne Cook, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on December 2nd, 2019 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on November 15th, she and another woman took a dog from someone known to them and police were contacted to investigate. On December 2nd, 2019, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 2nd, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting his mother. It is alleged the man attended his mother’s residence on December 2nd, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 3rd, 2019 and charged with three counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, threats, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between June and December, the man assaulted his girlfriend on three occasions, and on two additional occasions, struck her with a picture frame, as well as a blanket. The man further made threats to kill his girlfriend’s family and police were subsequently contacted. On December 3rd, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
