WARRANTS, CARRYING A CONCEALED WEAPON, BREACH OF PROHIBITION ORDER, BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 18th, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. He was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon, breach of prohibition order, as well as breach of probation for possessing weapons and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between October and November, the man entered his girlfriend’s residence without her permission, assaulted her using various items in the residence, choked her, damaged a television, as well as made threats to her and her property. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On December 18th, 2019, the man was located by police and taken into custody on the strength of the warrants, at which time he was found to be in possession of a knife. He was charged accordingly and held in custody for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on December 18th, 2019 and charged with three counts of breach of recognizance for contacting her ex-boyfriend, attending his residence and failing to keep the peace. She was also charged with four counts of breach of probation for consuming alcohol and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 18th, police were called to a disturbance and located the intoxicated woman having an argument with her ex-boyfriend. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 18th, 2019 and charged with three counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 18th, police were called to a disturbance and located the man having an argument with his ex-girlfriend. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Paul Provost, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on December 18th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged while police were conducting a RIDE program on December 18th, the man was observed operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on December 31st, 2019.
