Symphony of Charges Over Busy Weekend – Cornwall Police Blotter #CPS

APRIL 28, 2020

WARRANT 

            Cornwall, ON – A 16-year-old South Mountain youth was arrested on April 24th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the youth failed to attend court on February 20th, 2020 for a theft charge and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody on April 24th, 2020 and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THEFT UNDER, RESIST ARREST, OBSTRUCT POLICE, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT 

            Cornwall, ON – Thomas Quinn, 38 of Cornwall was arrested on April 24th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000, obstruct police, resist arrest and forcible confinement. It is alleged on April 24th, 2020 the man removed merchandise from a Marlborough Street store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and located the man a short distance away. He refused to co-operate with police and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. It is also alleged on April 26th, 2020 the man purposely locked two persons in a laundry room and police were contacted to investigate. He was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 9th, 2020.

THREATS, BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF, BREACH 

            Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 24th, 2020 and charged with threats, break and enter, mischief and breach of recognizance for attending his ex-girlfriend’s residence, communicating with her and for being outside his residence despite a curfew. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2020 the man entered his ex-girlfriend’s residence without permission and damaged a wall. It is also alleged he threatened to burn down a house and he damaged a car. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter. 

THEFT UNDER 

            Cornwall, ON – Jonathan Lauzon, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on April 25th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on April 25th, 2020 the man removed merchandise from a Second Street store making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and located the man a short distance away. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 9th, 2020.

WARRANT 

            Cornwall, ON – Katlen Moore, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on April 25th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on February 28th, 2020 for a public mischief charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On April 25th, 2020 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 9th, 2020. 

BREACH 

            Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 25th, 2020 and charged with breach of probation for communicating with someone he has conditions not to communicate with, attending her residence and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter on April 25th, 2020 police found the man to be in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 9th, 2020. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic matter and would identify the victim. 

ASSAULT 

            Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 25th, 2020 and charged with assault. It is alleged on April 25th, 2020 the man assaulted his 14-year-old son and police were contacted to investigate. He was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 14th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter. 

ASSAULT, THREATS 

            Cornwall, ON – Dustin Dillabough, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on April 26th, 2020 and charged with assault and threats. It is alleged during an argument on April 26th, 2020 the man assaulted and threatened a man known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 9th, 2020. 

There were 151 calls for service in the City of Cornwall in over the weekend (8am Friday to 8am Monday morning).

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Symphony Pierce, 26 of Williamsburg was arrested on April 23rd, 2020, and charged with breach of a release order for being outside her residence. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2020 the woman was found to be in breach of her release order during a traffic stop. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on April 23rd, 2020 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with his ex-common-law wife, attending her residence and for being in the company of one of the children. It is alleged on April 23rd, 2020 police attended a residence for a disturbance and found the man in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 7th, 2020. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on April 24th, 2020 and charged with breach of recognizance for communicating with her ex-common-law husband, attending his residence and for being where he might be. She was also charged with breach of a probation order. It is alleged on April 18th, 2020 police attended the area of McConnell and Eleventh Street for a disturbance and an investigation ensued. During the investigation police found the woman to be in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody on April 24th, 2020 charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 7th, 2020. Her name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic incident and would identify the victim in the matter.
