Two Ontario Police College (OPC) Students Complaints Lead to Criminal Harassment & Extortion Charges for Security Contractor PETER NEUFELD

November 18, 2022 – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Elgin County Detachment has charged an individual employed with a security contractor at the Ontario Police College (OPC) following a criminal investigation.

On November 10, 2022, OPP Elgin detachment was contacted by staff of the Ontario Police College (OPC) to initiate an investigation after a complaint from two students regarding an employee of a private-sector security contractor at OPC.

As a result of the investigation, Peter NEUFELD 53-year-old of St. Thomas, Ontario is charged with:

  • Criminal Harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct (two counts).
  • Extortion (two counts).
