ASSAULT WITH WEAPON
Cornwall ON – A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 6th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order and a Justice of the Peace Recognizance with the condition of Keep the peace and Be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that the youth attempted to choke a 33 year-old male with a grass trimmer wire. The male was able to escape however the youth continued to assault him by throwing apples. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with 2 counts of assault with a weapon, Breach of Probation and Breach of Recognizance . He was held in custody until court the following day. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
DRUGS
Cornwall, ON – Daniel Quesnel, 21 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2010. He was bound by an Officer in Charge Undertaking with the conditions to abstain from the consumption or possession of drugs and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that at 12:45 p.m. on the 6th of August, 2010, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service located him and further investigation revealed that he had in his possession 3.3 grams of what appeared to be cocaine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, proceeds of crime and breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- A 34 year-old Akwesasne male was arrested on the 6th of August, 2010, under the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on the 4th of August 2010, the male attended his 31 year-old ex-girlfriend residence where he refused to leave, kicked her and stole her cat. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located on the 6th of August, 2010, by the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with unlawfully in a dwelling, assault and theft under $5000.00. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not release as it may identify the victim in this incident.
Cornwall, ON- A 18 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 6th of August, 2010, under the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2010, her surety was relieved of her obligation under her recognizance. She was located and charged accordingly. She was held in custody until court the following day.
ASSAULT, ASSAULT POLICE & BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- David Rafter, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 6th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that he punched a 21 year-old male on the side of the head. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was later located and assaulted a police officer by kicking him in the shin. He was charged with assault, assault police and breach of probation, He was released to appear in court on the 26th of August, 2010, in answer to the charges.
Cornwall, ON- David Rafter, 19 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He was also bound by an Officer in Charge Undertaking with the relevant conditions of keep the peace and be of good behavior and obey a curfew of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. everyday with no exceptions. It is alleged that at approximately 1:45 a.m. on the 7th of August, 2010, he was located by police at the intersection of Pitt Street and Ninth Street, in the City of Cornwall. He was charged with breach of Probation and 2 counts of breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day.
IMPAIRED DRIVING, OVER 80 & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- Shayne Sloan, 23 of Peterborough, ON was arrested and charged with impaired operation, over 80 and breach of Undertaking on the 7th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Officer in Charge Undertaking with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that at 2:10 a.m. on the 7th of August, 2010, while of general patrol, members the Cornwall Community Police Service observed a vehicle travelling southbound at the intersection of Water Street and Sydney Street with no headlights. The male driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged accordingly and held in custody until court the following day.
Cornwall, ON- Tyler Brown, 23 of Kahnawake, QC was arrested and charged with impaired operation and over 80 on the 7th of August, 2010. It is alleged that at 3:45 a.m. on the 7th of August, 2010, members of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Canadian Border Services Agency on Brookdale Avenue, Cornwall, in regards to an impaired driver. The male was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was charged accordingly and held in custody until court the following day.
OBSTRUCT POLICE & TRESPASS BY NIGHT
Cornwall, ON- Candy Gibson Square, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of August, 2010. She was bound by a Conditional Sentence Order with the condition to abide by full house arrest. It is alleged that on the 7th of August, 2010, the Cornwall Community Police Service attended a Walton Street address where the female was located outside and refused to provide her name to police. She ran away from police and was charged with obstruct police, personation, trespass by night, and breach of Conditional Sentence Order. She was held in custody until court the following day.
BREACH
Cornwall, ON- Tyler Bertrand, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 7th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with the conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and no contact with anyone to have a criminal record. It is alleged that on the 7th of August 2010, he attended the Canadian Border Service Agency- Cornwall Port and was found to be in the company of a female with a criminal record. The Cornwall Community Police Service attended and he was charged with 2 counts of breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on the 21st of October 2010 in answer to the charges.
THEFT & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- Fowler Allan Thompson,24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 8th of August, 2010. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that shortly after 2:00 a.m. on the 8th of August, 2010, the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the area of Sunnyside Avenue and Laframboise Avenue, in the City of Cornwall, in regards to a suspicious person attempting to gain entry to vehicles. He was located and subsequently charged with 2 counts of theft under $5000.00, Trespass by Night and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on the 26th of August, 2010, in answer to the charges.
DRUGS
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Migliacci, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on the 8th of August, 2010. It is alleged that he was seen discarding what was believed to be marijuana by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with possession of controlled substance and later released to appear in court on the 23rd of September, 2010, in answer to the charge. attended police headquarters where she was charged with 2 counts of fail to attend court. She was held in custody until court later that date.
Cornwall, ON- A 18 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 8th of August, 2010. The Youth was bound by an Undertaking Given to a Judge or Justice of the Peace with the conditions of Keep the peace and be of Good Behaviour and Notify the Ontario Provincial Police of any change of address. It is alleged that the youth was in possession of a controlled substance believed to be marijuana. The Youth was charged with possession of a controlled substance and 2 counts of breach of Undertaking. The youth was released to appear in court on the 23rd of September, 2010, in answer to the charges. . The youth’s name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREAK & ENTER, BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 8th of August, 2010. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the condition of Keep the Peace and be of good Behaviour. The youth was also bound by a Justice of the Peace Recognizance with the conditions not to attend within 200 meters of a Cornwall address and not to have any contact directly or indirectly with a certain female. It is alleged that on the 16th of July, 2010, the youth attended the said address and had contact with the certain female. It is also alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2010, the youth broke into a residence and stole several items. The youth was located and charged with Break & Enter, 2 counts of Breach of Probation and 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
THREATS
Cornwall, ON- Jessica Conners, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on the 8th of August, 2010. It is alleged that she uttered two death threats to two individuals over the phone. The police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was located and charged with two counts of Utter Death Threats. She was release to appear in court on the 31st of August, 2010 in answer to the charges.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON- Alain Hardy, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 9th of August, 2010. It is alleged that he attended a local store and stole two DVDs. He was arrested by store security and turned over to the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with theft and released to appear in court on the 30th of September, 2010, in answer to the charge.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Alexander Green, 20 of Tyendinaga, ON was arrested on the 9th of August, 2010 on the strength of a warrant. He was bound by a Recognizance of Bail with the relevant condition of not to be in the City of Cornwall except for court purposes or meet with legal counsel and to leave the City of Cornwall immediately upon the completion of such attendance. It is alleged that he was wanted on a surety revocation warrant. He was charged with breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody for court the following day.
