THEFT UNDER $5,000 and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – Jerry Richard Martin, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on December 3rd, 2010 following a shoplifting incident at a Ninth Street East grocery store. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the offence date, the male stole merchandise then left the store on foot. The store’s Loss Prevention Officer pursued him and police were contacted. The male was located a short distance from the store and arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00. Further investigation revealed that he was also breaching his Probation condition. He was charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
THEFT UNDER $5,000.00 and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – Christian Glaude Seguin, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on December 6th, 2010 following an October 28th shoplifting investigation. The male was bound by 2 Undertaking Orders and a Probation Order with the same condition: To Keep the peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the offence date, the male entered a Pitt Street store, stole merchandise and left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male was arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00, 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court later that day.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Joshua Lee Raymond MacGregor, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that on October 18th, 2010 he failed to attend court and a warrant for his arrest was requested. He was held in custody until court later that date.
OBSTRUCT JUSTICE and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – James Leon Kevin Cholette, 28 and Michael Joseph Peter Masson, 23, both of Cornwall were arrested on December 6th, 2010 following an obstruction of justice investigation. James Cholette was bound by an Undertaking Order and a Probation Order with the same condition: To Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. Michael Masson was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to not have any contact directly or indirectly with James Cholette. It is alleged that on the offence date, Masson communicated with Cholette outside the Cornwall courthouse. Further, it is alleged that during the conversation Masson requested Cholette provide misleading evidence during an upcoming trial. Police also allege that Cholette agreed to his request. As a result of the investigation, James Cholette is facing 1 count of Obstruct Justice, 1 count of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation. Michael Masson is also facing 1 count of Obstruct Justice and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. Both males were held in custody until court on December 7th, 2010.
ASSAULT and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – A 47 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on December 6th, 2010 following an assault investigation. The male was bound by 2 Undertaking Orders and a Probation Order with the common condition: To Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the offence date, he attended a friends’ residence and assaulted her 11 month-old daughter. The victim received medical attention after suffering a minor injury to her facial area. Police were contacted and the male was arrested for 1 count of Assault and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 06th of January, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
THEFT and FRAUD
Cornwall, Ont. – A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 06th of December, 2010 following a theft investigation. It is alleged that on or about December 3rd, the youth stole a parent’s ATM card and made cash withdrawals from the account. Police were contacted and an investigation into the matter resulted in the youth facing 1 count of Theft Under and 1 count of Fraud Under $5,000.00. The youth was released to the custody of a parent and is scheduled to appear in court on the 13th of January, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Christopher Eric Chicoine, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2010 on the strength of a warrant. He was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to notify courts of any change of address. It is alleged that in the early hours of August 13th, 2010 Christopher Chicoine in the company of another male and female attended a McConnell Avenue truck stop and attempted a robbery on 2 males who had been sleeping in a motor vehicle. It is further alleged that Christopher Chicoine identified himself as a police officer and demanded the victims provide their wallets. The victims fled the area and police were contacted. A warrant for his arrest was requested. The male was located at his new residence on December 7th and is facing 1 count of Attempt Robbery, 1 count of Personation of a Peace Officer and 2 counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day.
WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. – Todd Ernest Desnoyers, 34, of Cornwall turned himself into police on December 7th, 2010 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 23rd of November and a warrant was in force. He was released to appear in court on the 06th of January, 2011 to answer to the charge.
OBSTRUCT JUSTICE, UTTER THREATS, INTIMIDATION and BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. – Marcel Roger Dubeau, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on December 7th, 2010 for several offences. The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to Not communicate or Associate with a specific male. He was also bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the offence date, the accused approached the male at the Cornwall courthouse and attempted communication with him. It is alleged that as the male was walking away from the accused, Marcel Dubeau uttered a threat. Police were contacted and Marcel Dubeau is facing 1 count of Utter Threats, 1 count of Intimidation of a witness, 1 count of Obstruct Justice and 1 count each of Breach of Recognizance and Probation. He was held in custody until court on the 08th of December, 2010.
ASSAULT, THEFT and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – A 35 year-old Cornwall male turned himself in on December 7th, 2010 following a domestic disturbance investigation. The male was bound by an Undertaking Order with a condition to Abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with his wife or going within 100 meters of her place of work or employment and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was also bound by two Probation Orders with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the purchase, possession or consumption of alcohol and a no contact order and distance condition to his wife. It is alleged that on December 3rd, the male attended his wife’s residence and began consuming alcohol. It is further alleged that the couple had an argument at which time he attempted to choke her. The male stole money and cigarettes from the victim’s purse and left the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing 1 count of Assault, 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00, 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 5 counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day. THEFT and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. – Trevor Lee Durnion, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on the 07th of December, 2010 following 2 theft investigations. The male was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Not Associate with anyone known to have a criminal record. He was further bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on November 26th, 2010 he entered a Water Street department store and stole merchandise. The male left the store without intervention and police were contacted. On December 5th, 2010 police further allege that he entered a Ninth Street East store and stole merchandise. The male left in a motor vehicle operated by a female who has a criminal record. Police were once again contacted. As a result of the investigation, the male if facing 2 counts of Theft Under $5,000.00, 3 counts of Breach of Undertaking and 2 counts of Breach of Probation.
ASSAULT, INTIMIDATION and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. – A 61 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 07th of December, 2010 following a domestic disturbance investigation. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that during an argument with his 46 year-old common-law he struck her in the face the later tackled her in an attempt to prevent her from dialing 9-1-1. During the argument, it is further alleged that he threatened to harm her and her children. The male left the residence and police were contacted. The female suffered a minor injury and did not receive medical attention at the time of the incident. The male was located and arrested for 2 counts of Assault, 1 count of Intimidation and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court the following day.
