Cornwall ON- Here is your police blotter for the Cornwall Ontario for Tuesday August 16th, 2011.
BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Youth Probation Order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to reside with at a place approved by your Probation Officer and to abide by a curfew set in consultation with your probation officer and your mother. It is alleged that the youth was not residing at a place approved by his probation officer, keep the peace and be of good behaviour and abide by a curfew. The youth was charged with 3 counts of Breach of Youth Probation Order. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACHES & POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. He was bound by a YCJA Probation with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was bound by a second Probation Order with the condition to abide by a curfew of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was also bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly after 10:00 p.m., he was found to be in possession of a stolen mini motorcycle. He was charged with Possession of stolen Property, Breach of YCJA Probation Order, 2 counts of Breach of Probation Order and Breach of Undertaking. He was held in custody until court the following day. The male’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- Ryan James Sanderson, 30 of Hamilton ON was arrested on the 15th of August, 2011. He was bound by a Recognizance with the condition not to operate any motor vehicle. It is alleged that on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly after 10:30 p.m. he was observed operating a motor vehicle by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and held in custody until court the following day.
BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 15th of August, 2011 shortly prior to 11:00 p.m. at a St.Felix Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by a basement window and proceeded to steal money. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.
Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 13th of August, 2011 and the 14th of August, 2011 at a Brookdale Avenue business. The suspect(s) gained entry by making a hole through a cinderblock wall in the attic. No property was reported stolen. DOMESTIC INCIDENT
(North Glengarry) – On 15Aug11, at approximately 8:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Dominion St, Alexandria On.
The investigation revealed that a 24yr old male and his 24yr old girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in the female damaging the residence and the male assaulting the female.
The male faces a charge of:
- Assault
The female faces a charge of:
- Mischief
Both are scheduled to appear 30Aug11 in Cornwall court.
(South Stormont) – On 15Aug11, at approximately 6:30pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Amell Road, South Stormont Township.
The investigation revealed that a female and her 50yr old common-law husband were involved in a verbal altercation; further investigation found that there were firearms improperly stored inside the residence.
The male was arrested and faces charges of:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Careless use of Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition
He is scheduled to appear 25Sept11 in Cornwall court.
