FRAUD INVESTIGATION – WOMAN CHARGED
(North Glengarry) – On December 29, 2015 at approximately 11:46am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a suspicious female at a residence on Concession 4, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that the accused was attempting to convince the victims to provide quantities of cash in return for promised profits.
Blandine NGO-NKOU-BAYIGA (33) of Ottawa, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Attempt Fraud Over $5000
She was held in custody pending a court appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall today (December 30, 2015).

STORM RELATED INCIDENTS – RESULTS
(SD&G) – The adverse weather received recently across the United Counties resulted in several traffic related incidents. SD&G OPP officers responded to a total of 42 (Stormont-16, Dundas-8, Glengarry-18) calls for service consisting of collisions, vehicles in ditches/median. Fortunately, all were minor in nature with no injuries reported.

Today (December 30, 2015) SD&G OPP officers will be conducting vehicle removals on Highway 401, which resulted from the several collisions investigated yesterday (December 29, 2015). In partnership with towing operators, this may result in temporary lane closures and delays in various areas of Highway 401 throughout SD&G.
Motorists are urged to drive with care and be aware of emergency personnel tending to scenes.
Eyes on the road, reduce speeds and be cognizant of those on duty…their lives depend on it!!
