RIDDELL, Valerie (née Leeman) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a special lady, Valerie Elizabeth Riddell, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at the age of 73 years. Beloved wife of the late John Riddell who only died recently.
Cherished mother of Debbie Cameron (Chris); step-mother of Glenda (Paul Mason), Heather (Mike McMartin), Greg (Sarah Taylor).
Much loved nannie of Caelan and Brody; grandmother of Corrine, Courtney, Myles, and great grandmother of Blakely and Preston.
The Broken Chain
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name,
In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held on Thursday May 18, 2017 from 9 – 10:45 AM followed by a service in the Chapel of the Wilson Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
Interment at a later date in St. Andrews Parish Cemetery.
