BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Maurice Leger, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on November 8th, 2019 and charged with four counts of breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged the man had changed his address without notifying police. On November 8th, while investigating an unrelated matter, police located the man and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, On – A 24-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 8th, 2019 and charged with domestic assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument with her boyfriend on November 8th, the woman assaulted him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED, MISCHIEF UNDER, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 8th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Impaired operation of a motor vehicle
• Operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited
• Mischief under $5000
• Breach of probation for failing to abide by a curfew and failing to keep the peace
It is alleged on November 8th, 2019, during an argument with his girlfriend, the man damaged a window in the residence. He left the residence and was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Second Street East and Belmont Street, and was subsequently stopped by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 19th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
BREAK AND ENTER, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 62-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 9th, 2019 and charged with break and enter, assault with a weapon and uttering threats. It is alleged the man had forcefully entered his girlfriend’s residence, causing damage to the door, and subsequently assaulted the woman by pouring a beverage over her head. The man further made threats to harm his girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 26th, 2019. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
POSSESSION OF COCAINE
Cornwall, ON – Terry Russell, 24, of Newington and Eric Lacombe, 36, of Alexandria were both arrested on November 9th, 2019 and charged with possession of cocaine. It is alleged during a traffic stop on November 9th, the men were found to be in possession of cocaine and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, both men were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 12th, 2019.
ASSAULT, THREATS, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on November 9th, 2019 and charged with assault, threats and mischief under $5000. It is alleged on November 9th, the youth assaulted someone known to him and made a threat to kill the person. The youth also damaged a poster in his residence and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Carson Giles, 25, of Lunenburg was arrested on November 10th, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on November 10th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Sydney Street and First Street. The man was taken into custody during a traffic stop, was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 19th, 2019.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Kayla Harps, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged in April 2019, the woman was in possession of stolen electronics and police were contacted to investigate. A warrant was subsequently issued for her arrest. On November 10th, 2019, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 17th, 2019.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – Garabed Kharmandarian, 56, of Cornwall was arrested on November 10th, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an altercation with someone known to him, he struck the victim and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 12th, 2019.

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 10th, 2019 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 10th, while investigating an unrelated matter, the man was located in his residence with his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 12th, 2019. SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 11th, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Sexual assault x 4
• Threats x 2
• Exposure to a person under fourteen x 2
• Sexual exploitation of a person with a disability x 4
• Invitation to sexual touching x 3
• Sexual interference x 3
It is alleged between 2005 and 2019, the man had sexually assaulted his step-daughter and threatened to kill another family member. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 11th, 2019, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 11th, 2019 and charged with two counts of harassing communications and two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-common-law wife. It is alleged between October and November, the man sent his ex-common-law wife numerous messages and phone calls despite being warned not to by police. An investigation ensued and on November 11th, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Odie Garrow, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on November 11th, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 12th, 2019, the woman attended a Cornwall Square business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On November 11th, 2019, she was taken into custody while stopped at the port of entry. The warrant was executed and the woman was held for a bail hearing.
