THEFT UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Richard Zeran, 51 and Judith Delorme, 53 both of Cornwall were arrested on May 5th, 2020 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on April 21st, 2020 they attended a Ninth Street store and removed property making no attempt to pay for the items as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 5th, 2020 they both attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. They were taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2020.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Kanekiiostha Edwards, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on May 5th, 2020 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on January 9th, 2020 for threats and weapons charges and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On May 5th, 2020 the woman was located at the Cornwall Courthouse, taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2020.
ASSAULT, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 5th, 2020 and charged with assault and breach of a release order and probation order for communicating with his ex-girlfriend, attending her residence and for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an argument on May 5th, 2020 the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend and police were contacted to investigate. The man was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 5th, 2020 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on May 4th, 2020 the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend despite having been warned by police not to. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was taken into custody during the investigation, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 28th, 2020. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
