CFN – On July 21st, 2012 the Ingleside Firefighter’s Association will be hosting the 6th annual Ingleside Firefighter Challenge.
Invitations are being sent to all neighbouring fire departments in SD&G and surrounding area. Firefighters will go head to head in a test of skill, endurance and teamwork as they make their way through a skills course. The challenge is meant to simulate the first
couple of minutes of a fire and will include such demonstrations as forcible entry, hose pulls, victim drag, ladder climbing & more. Families are encouraged to attend the event and cheer on their fire department. This event is being regarded as a family affair with pulled pork sandwiches (Oink Oink Acres’, kids activities, t-shirts, prizes, The Barnyard Zoo (11:00am – 4:00pm), The Shiners band
(4:00pm), beer gardens, inflatables (Tribeck Inflatables) and lots more.
The event will commence at 11:00am with the firefighter challenge starting at 1:00pm. Admission to the event is at no cost to the
public however donations are accepted. It will be located in Ingleside in front of the shopping centre.
All proceeds will go to the Ingleside Firefighters Association, which is a non-profit charity & Prostate Cancer Canada.
