WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Anson Jocko, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on July 24th, 2015 on the strength of a probation office warrant. It is alleged that man breached his probation conditions and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 24th, 2015 a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service attended the Cornwall Court House as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was arrested on the strength of the warrant and remained in custody for a bail hearing.
CAUSE DISTURBANCE, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – Edward Gravelle, 31 of Cornwall was arrested on July 24th, 2015 and charged with causing a disturbance and mischief. It is alleged on July 20th, 2015 the man damaged a fence that did not belong to him and threw a brick of someone’s door causing it to be damaged. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 24th, 2015 the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 25th, 2015 and charged with assault and forcible confinement. It is alleged on July 25th, 2015 the man pushed his 24-year-old common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation it was also learned in 2008 the man also pushed her around and prevented her from leaving the apartment. On July 25th, 2015 the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
ASSAULT, MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Chesterville woman was arrested on July 25th, 2015 and charged with assault and mischief. It is alleged during the evening of July 24th and day of July 25th, 2015 the woman punched and scratched her 27-year-old boyfriend. It is also alleged the woman damaged items throughout the residence and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED OPERATION, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Ryan St-Louis, 25 of Cornwall was arrested on July 25th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on July 25th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle in the area of Danis Street and First Street while under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on August 6th, 2015.
Cornwall, ON – Taylor Letford of Ingleside was arrested on July 26th, 2015 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged in the early morning hours of July 26th, 2015 the man was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Thirteenth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on August 6th, 2015.
ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Saint-Charles, Quebec woman was arrested on July 25th, 2015 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on July 25th, 2015 the intoxicated woman scratched her 43-year-old common-law husband’s face and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Robert Brannen, 33 of Cornwall was arrested on July 26th, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 26th, 2015 the man attended a Second Street East store and removed some merchandise making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was located a short distance away. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 25th, 2015.

It is alleged on July 26th, 2015 the intoxicated woman was causing a disturbance by way of yelling and screaming and police were contacted to investigate. During their investigation the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 25th, 2015.

It is alleged during an argument on July 27th, 2015 with his 25-year-old common-law wife the intoxicated man spat in her face and damage walls in the residence. WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Michelle Despatie, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2015 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on July 14th, 2015 for a theft under charge and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 23rd, 2015 the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 1st, 2015.
THEFT UNDER, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – James MacFarlane, 30 of Cornwall was arrested on July 23rd, 2015 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of three probation orders and two undertakings for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 20th, 2015 the man attended the Cornwall Square and removed property from one of the merchants making no attempt to pay for the item as he left the store and police were contacted to investigate. On July 23rd, 2015 the man met with police to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
CARE AND CONTROL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON – Joseph Hillis, 333of Williamstown was arrested on July 23rd, 2015 and charged with care and control of a motor vehicle. It is alleged on July 23rd, 2015 the intoxicated man was found to be in care and control of a motor vehicle in the area of St-Felix Street and Montreal Road. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 30th, 2015.
ASSAULT, RESIST ARREST, POSSESSION OF A PROHIBITED WEAPON
Cornwall, ON – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman and a 22-year-old Cornwall man were arrested on July 23rd, 2015 and charged with assault and resist arrest. It is alleged on July 23rd, 2015 police attended a Guy Street address for a disturbance and while investigating the incident arrested the woman after a brief struggle for slapping her 35-year-old neighbour in the face. Further investigation revealed that a 22-year-old man who was at the address was wanted for another incident of assault and breach of probation. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and found to be in possession of a prohibited knife. Both were charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Cornwall, ON – A 40-Year-Old Cornwall man was arrested on July 24th, 2015 and charged with assault with a weapon and theft under $5000. It is alleged during an argument in the early morning hours of July 24th, 2015 with his 41-year-old girlfriend the man threw an ashtray at her and took her packsack from her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During their investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 30th, 2015.
