A two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of York and Fourth Streets at about 10:40 am today (7 Jul 16).
Witnesses say that an eastbound Buick SUV collided with a northbound Saturn wagon, the northbound vehicle being “t-boned” in the collision.
While occupants of the Buick were being attended to by police and ambulance personnel, firefighters assisted an occupant of the heavily damaged Saturn extricate himself from a difficult tangle of safety belts and deployed airbags.
Although one person was fitted with a neck brace by emergency personnel, and serious injuries were not apparent, the occupants of both vehicles were clearly very shaken.
