UPDATE Cty Road 17 OPEN Hawkesbury After Two Vehicle Collision SEPT 23, 2016 OPP

 

OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS COLLISION COUNTY ROAD 17.
                         ( UPDATE)
(East Hawkesbury Township, ON) – Officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), supported by Technical Traffic Collison Investigators, continue to investigate a serious, two vehicle collision on County Road 17, East Hawkesbury Township.

OPP responded to a 911 call at 05:09pm on Thursday 22nd September 2016. Investigation revealed that an east bound Hyundai car had collided with a westbound tractor trailer unit.

The 48 year old male driver of the Hyundai received serious injuries. He was extracted from the vehicle by members East Hawkesbury Fire Department and conveyed to hospital.

Hwy 17 between Tupper Street and Cameron Street was closed for 11 hours.

(East Hawkesbury, ON) – Officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) assisted by Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are currently investigating a serious collision on County Road 17 east of Hawkesbury.

OPP were called to a collision involving 2 vehicles at approximately 05:00pm on Thursday 22nd September 2016.

County Road 17 is closed to east bound traffic at the intersection with Tupper Street and to westbound traffic at the intersection with Cameron Street.

The incident is active and ongoing.
